All pendants come with a chain in the same color as the metal they are wrapped in. Chain length depends on pendant size; generally, small pendants will have an 18" chain, medium pendants a 20" chain, and large pendants a 24" chain. If you are looking for a specific chain length, leave a note at checkout for which length you would prefer.  

Pendants are mostly made of raw copper or are copper-coated. Pieces in the Elegance and Luxe collections are made with either sterling silver or 14k gold fill. Other pieces that are made with sterling or 14k gold fill are marked accordingly.

Copper pendants are not considered hypoallergenic. Sterling silver and 14k gold fill, however, are hypoallergenic metals. Pieces in these metals are marked accordingly. If you have a metal sensitivity, please contact us for details about a custom piece. 

As a general rule of thumb, it is best to not get jewelry wet unless it is solid gold. Other metals (even gold plated and fill) will wear down overtime, and can lead to tarnishing. By keeping your jewelry dry, you will prolong the wear life of your jewelry.

In short, yes. Most metals, with the exception of high end materials such as solid gold, platinum, etc., will tarnish over time. Tarnishing is a natural process called oxidation, which occurs when metal is exposed to air. Copper and silver tarnish faster than gold plated or gold filled materials, as they are not coated. To remove tarnish, polish pieces with a jewelry polishing cloth when they begin to look dull. Proper care will ensure your piece will tarnish at a slower rate.
