Sometimes, there are crystals that you just don't vibe with. You know the crystals; the ones that just don't feel right one you hold them, the ones that you don't really want to add to your collection.
There are many reasons you can feel turned off by a crystal, but sometimes, it's just down to personal preference. I have a bunch of crystals that you generally won't find in my shop, mostly because I just don't vibe with them. No shame to these crystals! But here's what they are and why.
1) Malachite
Malachite is a powerful protective stone, shielding you from negative energies and promoting inner peace and calm. Many people believe that malachite can stimulate the heart chakra, promoting healing and growth in emotional and spiritual aspects of life.
It's not just the fact that this crystal looks like a weird alien blob that turns me off. Malachite is a mineral composed of copper carbonate hydroxide, which, when it gets wet, can be incredibly toxic. Something about this leaves a weird feeling on my skin when I hold malachite, and I don't love the heavy energy these crystals tend to have.
2) Moldavite
Some people might be a little surprised this one made the list. This crystal blew up on Tiktok a few years ago, but it has never been on my list of favorites. This green, glass-like mineral is a type of crystal known as a tektite, formed from a meteorite impact in the Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. Moldavite is prized for its incredibly powerful transformative properties, and ability to turn your life upside down. Whether that's for better or worse remains to be seen.
Moldavite is not a crystal I would ever recommend to the unprepared. It is not a crystal for beginners. It's popularity on social media has led many to believe that it is a crystal that beginning crystal users can pick up and use with ease. Moldavite will flip your life upside down - and not always for the best.
3) Chrysocolla
For me, this one falls into a similar category as malachite. It looks weird, it eels weird, and the energy has just never sat right with me. Chrysocolla promotes peace, calm, and tranquility, making it a popular choice for those seeking emotional balance and stability. Chrysocolla is also associated with the throat chakra, and helps you to express their thoughts and emotions more effectively. I don't know what that necessarily says about me, but it's just not an energy I vibe with
With crystals, it all comes down to preference. Some crystals you like, some crystals you don't. While I don't necessarily love the above crystals, that doesn't mean they aren't the perfect crystal for someone else. Exploring which crystals you vibe best with is the best way to grow your crystal collection, as well as your spiritual practice.
